My apologies for the delay in getting this out to all! It is that most wonderful (and busy) time of the year! We had a great time of food, fun and fellowship for our annual Thanksgiving dinner at the Lodge! Thanks to all who helped with cooking, set-up, clean-up and more!
Remember that again this year, we will have a float in the Hendersonville “Holiday-fest” Christmas Parade on December 7th. We always welcome help and participation for this and it’s another great way for our community to see who we are! The float and vehicles must be in the staging area between 10-10:30am (parade starts at 2:00); we are entry #14 (out of over 70). You may bring candy to HAND OUT, but you are not allowed to throw it into the crowds due to safety concerns. Drop off will be easiest in the parking lot behind Wendy’s/Whataburger. You will not be able to drive into Drakes Creek Park, even to let participants off.
Our new website is now up and functioning. Please go to this site at least once a day and that will help us get more visibility. Currently we’re trying to communicate via email, text, and GroupMe, and Facebook, but this will give us a more central way to put important dates and information out for you in a timely manner. Parts of it are still “under construction” but it will be a great tool for us to use in the coming months! Thanks to Brother Bryan Wright for helping with this!
And one last reminder to PAY YOUR DUES for 2026! Dues are due on or before December 31st each year! After that a late fee will be added, plus we’ll mail you late notices and eventually notifications of dismissal. Please get these in as soon as possible. Remember that our dues have NOT been increased in over 6 years AND the $161 (which comes out to just under 45 cents per day)! Is Masonry worth 45 cents a day to you? For me, a price tag can’t be put on it! The next reminders and notices will be “you forgot to pay your dues” notes!
This has been a great year and many things have happened in #359 this year. Thanks to Worshipful Jason Gerock for his leadership! Keep spreading LIGHT to all you meet and show them that you’re a MASON by your actions!
