The worshipful master’s corner:
Brethren,
As we enter the month of April, we are reminded that spring is a season of renewal, growth, and new beginnings. Just as the world around us begins to bloom and come back to life, so too should we seek to renew our commitment to the work of our lodge. Let this season inspire each of us to be present, engaged, and active, strengthening the bonds that unite us as brothers. With Easter upon us, we are also called to reflect on its deeper meaning. Things such as hope, sacrifice, and the promise of new life. These values align closely with the principles we strive to uphold in our daily lives.
I would also like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the brothers who so generously contributed toward the replacement of our lodge carpet. Your willingness to give and support our shared space is a true reflection of the charity and brotherly love that define our fraternity. It is through acts like these that we continue to build not just a better lodge, but a stronger brotherhood. Thank you all for your dedication, your kindness, and the spirit of unity you bring, and may we continue to walk together in harmony and appreciation for one another.
Fraternally Yours,
Kevin Herring, Worshipful Master
From the Secretary’s Desk:
If I didn’t mention dues it just wouldn’t be a trestleboard? Final notices have been sent; you must respond by our next meeting in April or you will received a suspension notice. After that, the paperwork gets a little more intense as you’ll need to petition for reinstatement and more! Let us know if you need assistance!
I had the opportunity to travel recently to Belfast and visit two Lodges there under the Jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Ireland (Unitas 485 and Temple 51). While there are a few things different, you can always follow the ritual pretty easily and it’s fascinating to see how others do it! But regardless of the peculiarities, everywhere I’ve traveled (now 12 states, 4 countries, and over 70 lodges), everywhere I go, Brothers always welcome me and I meet new lifelong friends! If you’re on vacation or business, see if you can find a lodge to visit! Enjoy the brotherhood of our fraternity!
I also want to say a HUGE Thank you to Brothers Gerock, and Woodward for “remodeling” the secretary’s office! A few little touches left, but it’s so nice to have room to work and breath! We continue to get things looking great inside; soon we’ll be able to deal with things on the outside once the construction is finished and our lodge will be a real showcase again.
Thanks to all of our Brothers and our appendant bodies for being part of our Masonic family!
Fraternally,
Jeff Phillips, PM/Secretary
