My Brothers,
As we welcome the month of August, it is hard to believe how quickly this Masonic year has passed. I hope each of you has enjoyed time with family and friends this summer and has taken a moment to reflect on the many blessings in your life.
Our Craft reminds us that we are always building, not only our Lodge but also our own character. Every meeting we attend, every Brother we encourage, and every act of kindness we perform helps strengthen the foundation of our fraternity. No matter how large or small your contribution may seem, it makes a difference and helps our lodge continue to grow stronger.
Please remember that our Official Visit will be held on Friday, September 4th. This is an important evening for our Lodge, and I encourage every Brother who is able to attend. Let's come together to show the pride we have in our Lodge and the fellowship we share.
To help us prepare, we will have a Lodge Cleanup Day on Saturday, August 29th. We will spend a few hours cleaning, organizing, and making sure our building is ready to welcome our guests. Many hands make light work, so I hope you can join us as we work together to present our Lodge at its best.
As we continue through the remainder of the year, I encourage each of you to stay involved, reach out to a Brother you have not seen in a while, and remember that our fraternity is strongest when we support one another.
"It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit." - Brother Harry S. Truman, 33rd President of the United States and 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason

From the Secretary’s Desk:
Brethren!
Often in my travels, Brothers ask how Freemasonry is going in our part of the world. While we often hear of the decline in numbers, and that holds true for most types of fraternal, civic and even religious organizations, we seem to be doing rather well overall. We read 2 petitions in July, have an EA and a FC degree at the end of the month and have another brother getting close to turning in his lecture for MM. Our “newer” members are stepping up and becoming really involved in practice sessions, helping in the kitchen or doing whatever is needed. Even though 50% of our lodge is over the age of 70 (which is kind of scary), the “younger?” members are active in leadership positions.
We have lots of activity happening in our building every week! Make sure that you keep up with the calendar, check the website, sign-up for email, GroupMe, and watch our FaceBook page so that you are always aware of last minute updates and plans!
Another really great thing is to see several folks coming back! Back to finish degrees, back to join in fellowship! We have lots of great things going on and at #359 (and in our District overall), Masonry is going well! Come join us as often as you can and be a part of our great Fraternity!
Fraternally,
Jeff Phillips, PM/Secretary
